When Kris White and Jen Metzger founded Broad Builders in 2012, they weren’t just starting a construction company—they were reshaping the way homes are built. Their mission: to create “forever homes” with a client-focused, compassionate approach that blends technical precision with heartfelt care.

Kris White
Kris White doesn’t just build homes—she crafts experiences. With over 15 years in residential construction and a background in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Kris brings a rare blend of technical mastery and creative vision to every project. After earning her civil engineering degree from Auburn University and pursuing master’s studies at Georgia Tech, she spent 11 years living and working across Europe. There, a life of teaching, traveling, and immersing herself in diverse cultures shaped her global perspective—and her belief that a home should reflect the people who live in it.
In 2012, Kris co-founded Broad Builders with Jen Metzger to revolutionize the design-build experience. Her approach is precise yet personal: combining engineering expertise, high-quality materials, and an eye for design with empathy and client education. Kris guides every homeowner through the complexities of construction with transparency and care, creating spaces that are not just structurally sound, but deeply personal and enduring. Her passion lies in turning visions into “forever homes” where confidence, beauty, and function coexist effortlessly.
